Nice to meet you!
Hi, I’m Aron! I’ve spent over 15 years working with animals and more than a decade as a professional pet sitter and dog walker. My passion for animal behavior eventually led me back to school, where I earned my certification through CATCH Canine Trainer’s Academy—a comprehensive program grounded in the standards of the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). I am also certified in Predation Substitute Training through Simone Muller’s program.
After graduating, I became an Assistant Dog Trainer with CNY Pet Training & Behavior under Danielle Basciano (CDBC, CCBC, CSAT, CPDT-KA, CBCC-KA), and I also worked hands-on with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds at the municipal shelter in Syracuse, B&R Bunkhouse. These experiences deepened my understanding of canine behavior and helped me develop a compassionate, evidence-based approach to training.
In 2021, I launched Game of Bones in the Hudson Valley, and in 2024, I relocated to Albany, NY to continue growing my business and helping dogs (and their people!) thrive.
My goal is to help you build a strong, lasting relationship with your dog—one rooted in trust, positive reinforcement, and clear communication.
What is "Ethical Dog Training”?
Ethical dog training means we prioritize kindness, clarity, and connection. We follow the LIMA framework—an acronym for “Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive”—which is a humane, evidence-based approach to behavior change. That means no choke chains, prong collars, e-collars, leash pops, or other outdated, forceful methods that can cause unnecessary stress or harm. Instead, we focus on building mutual trust and understanding, teaching you how to work with your dog and manage their environment to create lasting, respectful partnerships based on cooperation.
What kinds of dog training do you offer?
I offer private sessions in your home or in a public location. After our initial consultation, I will work with you and your dog one-on-one. I offer assistance with all types of issues including:
Puppy Basics & Socialization
Cooperative Living & Behavior Skills
Loose-Leash Walking Skills
